Welcome to the Last Page of Favorites on my website and my place to share some of my personal favorite imagery from around Maui & The Hawaiian Islands.
This has been so fun going through my archives of images looking for some of my favorites. Of course there are lots of images of my family & my extra cute grandkids, some shots of various musicians I have been fortunate to cover and lots of scenic scenery from around the Hawaiian Islands.
My love for photography & creating gorgeous imagery extends way beyond my professional career as I have been chasing the perfect shot, the perfect light & perfecting my craft literally for decades now! My most favorite thing to photograph has to be surprise engagements, and of course I love being part of weddings, but personally I love searching for gorgeous scenic shots around Maui & the Hawaii Islands. When I first started I wanted to be a sports photographer, so of course I still love chasing various sports trying to get the perfect shot there too!
Since the very beginning when my dad gave me my first Nikon FE2 camera, as a high school graduation present, I have always had Nikons. Recently Nikon introduced one of their top of the line models called the Nikon ZF. This camera is sort of a “Retro” looking camera with the look & controls of my original Nikon, but the guts of the latest top of the line Nikon model Z8. One of the coolest features with this camera is that there is a little lever on it that switches instantly from Color to B&W! OMG the best thing ever! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE SHOOTING COLOR! I live in Hawaii after all & Hawaii is all about the color, BUT I find some of the most poignant moments are best caught in B&W, & it’s so wonderful to switch instantly to B&W when I suddenly see that moment present itself in front of me!
This page is sort of a “Work In Progress” page so I will continually update as I find images that are meaningful in one way or another
