Perfectly Planned Proposal Pulled Perfectly ! There was magic happening at the Fairmont Kea Lani as all the elements came together, including the element of Surprise! Summer & Jaden walked down from their villa @fairmontkealani hand in hand dressed for dinner, but he took a detour where they walked up to the Pacific Terrace and he dropped to a knee in front of a STUNNING Heart of Roses & popped the question! Of course she screamed "YES!" Then in her excitement started jumping up & down when she realized that it was actually happening! Was such a JOY to witness this fantastic moment! Later I learned that Summer and her family had been coming to the Fairmont Kea Lani since she was a little girl and her dream was to get proposed there & voile it happened! Of course the venue was super fabulous with the canopy draped in flowing fabric and the flowers were as beautiful as sny I have ever seen! Truly, one of the most beautiful proposals I have ever been apart of! Hammer Time! Congrats to all the riders participating in the 2025 Cycle to The Sun bicycle race from Paia to the Summit of Haleakala! 10,023 Feet of hard climbing won by @iron_hawaiian from Oahu w a ripping time of 3 hour 1 minute! Truly astonishing! Was almost a perfect day for a bicycle race w blue skies and just a little bit of wind! Donnie Arnoult of @mauicyclery was race director of this incredible event & ran it flawlessly with tons of volunteers helping from sea level to the summit! Thanks to @haleakalanps for their dedication to helping keep this a safe event, with no issues whatsoever from beginning to end! Was so fortunate to travel to Kauai for this lovely wedding at The Luxurious 1 Hotel in Hanalei Bay! The couple was so sweet & the location of the wedding was literally steps from Hanalei Bay with gorgeous trees providing shade and adding to the majesty of the location! The Magical Maui Wedding of Karen & Javier was Absolutely stunning in every way! With literally thousands of roses & flowers adorning every single surface and the Epically Amazing location and the overcast conditions we were in for a treat! Then when we made our way down to the beach for sunset, the sun burst through the clouds & the B&G were almost weeping because it was so beautiful! Then in the most beautiful & selfless moment a group of strangers on the beach yelled out for Karen to throw her bouquet! Karen, on the spot decided to do it and the beach ERUPTED in APPLAUSE as Karen threw it & this young woman caught it with a gigantic smile on her face! Then Karen gave the stranger her bouquet. Absolutely a beautiful moment! Back at the venue @djdanmaui got the party ROCKIN & everyone danced including the flower girl who was only like 3 years old! Truly a night to remember! Absolutely Stunning Surprise Proposal! Hunter had reached out to me about making this happen and with a plan in place I positioned myself on the North Side of Kapalua Bay where they walked from their rental. Walking down on to the beach Aaliyah had zero expectations on how her life was about to change! Hunter walked her down to the water’s edge and told her all the things. Dropping to a knee, you can see in the images her excitement at what was being said & of course she said YES! This is absolutely my very favorite thing to photograph amongst all the amazing moments I get to witness! But seeing her reaction, and the way they held each other so tightly for nearly a full five minutes, before he turned her around and pointed to me when she realized she had just been proposed to. Hunter had gone over the top with a HUGE diamond and the way she looked at & her excitement was breathtaking! Was such a fun shoot even getting a little silly w us their hair covering each other’s faces & laughing about it the whole time. The start of the sunset was sort of bland but Maui delivers at the very end lighting up the sky in gorgeous color! The last shots of the night were taken from behind as they walked hand in hand to Merrimans where I had recommended they go ! @merrimansevents luckily had a two top open up & the next day they told me how terrific their engagement dinner was how perfect the whole day has unfolded!
